In a significant step towards environmental conservation, Swami Vivekananda Government Model School, Shergarh organized a tree plantation drive under the “Hariyalo Rajasthan” campaign. A total of 101 saplings were planted on campus with active participation from students, teachers, and members of the Youth and Eco Club.
The event was held under the leadership of Youth and Eco Club in-charge Mr. Kanaram Choudhary, who inspired everyone to contribute to a greener future. Saplings of Neem, Gulmohar, Ashoka, and Amaltas—known for their environmental and shade-giving benefits—were planted during the drive.
Several school staff members and students participated in the initiative, including Madan Singh Rathore, Tilok Chand Suthar, Ram Kala Kumari, Bhanwarlal, Rakesh Bishnoi, Rekharam, Narpat Patel, Akshay Kumar, Kanwari Lal, Vijay Songara, Hemlata Sharma, Hariom Meena, Mukesh Kumar Bunkar, and Sanjeev Kumar Dudi.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Choudhary said,
“A plant is not just a part of nature—it’s a symbol of life. Every sapling planted today secures the breath of tomorrow. If we lay the foundation for greenery today, our future generations will live in clean and healthy environments. Every individual should plant at least one tree a year and care for it as a responsibility toward nature.”
Principal Mr. Shivdutt Charan appreciated the inspiring efforts and said,
“The enthusiastic participation of our students shows that the younger generation is aware and responsible toward the environment. Making our school campus green and clean is a shared responsibility.”
This plantation drive marked not only an environmental initiative but also a step toward building a sustainable and conscious future.
